I've been having throbbing tooth pain every once and a while and it I can feel the pain into my shoulder and makes my arm feel slightly tingly/numb. I get quite severe anxiety, especially when going to the dentist and I'm on a limited students budget so I haven't gone to a dentist yet. Is this something that needs to be treated right away?
It looks like you either have a grossly decayed tooth or fractured tooth that is causing pain due to nerve exposures..
Anxiety can be a cause for having multiple symptoms like tingling and discomfort in shoulder..
So my suggestion is to consult a Dentist and get an IOPAR (x-ray) done to rule out the cause of the pain and severity of tooth damage..
If tooth is still in.position to be saved then Root Canal Treatment can be done.. If there is gross decay then extraction is advisable..
As of now you can take painkillers like Advil for relief.. Apply clove oil mover the tooth or bite over a piece of glove.. Biting over a garlic can also help in pain relief..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
